Bird Songs - Bird Call & Guide App Reviews

I used to love this app and used it almost daily. Now its completely unusable. I cant go more than 1 minute of use without ads blocking out the calls and taking over my phone. You have to exit the ad, reopen the app and start again and half the time this freezes the phone or app. So frustrating. A once great app destroyed by ads.

Doesnt work when trying to download the bird sound on the available bird! The app just closes when I hit download!

I think I have only been able to get one call to play without crashing. The others when I select the button the program closes! The potential is great but execution is lacking!

This app has some bird sounds, but they are in other regions. Most all of the common local birds are locked out, so I would have to buy and download each one. National Geographic has a much better free app that shows most worldwide and local birds AND has their sounds.

This app is not even alphabetized. Have fun.

Using this app in preparation for a birding trip to Belize, and it is proving very useful. I would like more pictures, but the calls and songs are very good and diverse.

Extensive content is available, but it requires additional downloads and most calls are unlocked only via in-app purchase. The free app froze upon first use, then showed the following message: "Purchase Successful! ... Youve unlocked...". I made no attempt to make any purchase and I confirmed nothing, so any charge would be completely unauthorized. I immediately deleted the app, and I hope for their sake that they dont try to charge my account.

You get to listen to one free call after you download it and then after you pay 6.99 for the rest . nonsense if I could I would give 0 stars !

I see a mockingbird, I find the matching bird in the app and play it. So far mockingbirds react more than any other birds I have tried. Geese just ignore it, so do crows. Cool app none-the-less!

I love this app. The sound database is amazing. I love listening to all of the bird sounds. There are so many! Keep doing what youre doing, good job. :)

Only a few bird songs and pics are available...then you pay. It seemed misleading to me. I thought it would be all free. Im disappointed.

App is falsely advertised as noted in other "Reviews"; your basic bait & switch at work....

I cannot believe this is allowed to call itself a free app. It is an app for bird calls in which you have to pay to unlock the bird calls. Im more angry with the App Store for allowing it than I am with the hucksters hawking it.

I love the amazing bird calls and information database. I particularly enjoy the "birds around me" feature. I have the purchased version and I think is worth the price. Love it!!

Love the app and its sounds. The sounds are so realistic that birds actually come to check out the sound.

Almost as bad as the scottrade app

App crashes unexpectedly, doesnt default to current location, and cant ID by bird sounds. Free version isnt worth installing and neither is the paid version. Developer needs to rethink the purpose of the app.

Needs much work on organization and really needs user input with recognition. Sure you can quickly find what THAT birds song is BUT how bout hearing a song to identify the bird making it? Impossible! So lets have the app access the microphone and allow me to chirp whistle trill the call into the apps db and recognize and identify the song maker? With reasonable accuracy, THAT would make this a great App.

Once you download more than 80% of the birds are locked - requiring a paid upgrade.
